ADRE Grade IV is an OMR-based written examination consisting of 100 MCQ questions for 100 marks to be completed in 2 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

ADRE Grade IV Complete Syllabus
1. General English (20 Marks)
Tests basic English language skills at Class X level.
- Basic Grammar: Subject-verb agreement, tenses (simple), articles, prepositions
- Vocabulary: Synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution, spelling
- Simple Comprehension: Short unseen passage with 3-4 MCQs
2. General Knowledge (20 Marks)
- India GK: Constitution, Parliament, President, PM, important laws
- National Symbols: national animal, bird, flower, tree, sport, emblem
- Famous Personalities: freedom fighters, scientists, sportspersons
- Basic Science: photosynthesis, food chain, human body, common chemicals
3. Elementary Mathematics (20 Marks)
- Fractions and Decimals: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- Percentage: basic percentage calculations, profit/loss
- LCM and HCF: finding LCM/HCF up to 3 numbers
- Basic Geometry: areas and perimeters of rectangle, square, triangle
4. Reasoning (20 Marks)
- Simple Analogies: word analogies, number analogies
- Number Series: arithmetic progressions, simple patterns
- Odd One Out: classification of objects/words
- Pattern Matching: simple visual and letter patterns
5. Knowledge of Assam (20 Marks)
- Basic Assam History: Ahom dynasty, Treaty of Yandabo, independence
- Rivers and Places: Brahmaputra, Barak, major cities, districts
- Bihu and Festivals: three Bihus, cultural traditions
- Important Personalities: Sankardeva, Gopinath Bordoloi, Bhupen Hazarika
