Exam Pattern

ADRE Grade III is an OMR-based written examination consisting of 150 MCQ questions for 150 marks to be completed in 3 hours. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Tests the candidate's understanding of basic English grammar and usage.

  • Tenses: All 12 tenses — identification and application
  • Active & Passive Voice: Transformation across all tenses
  • Direct & Indirect Speech: Narration changes
  • Articles: Use of a, an, the; zero article
  • Prepositions: At, in, on, since, for, by, with, etc.
  • Synonyms & Antonyms: Vocabulary up to Class 12 level
  • One-Word Substitution: Common literary and general terms
  • Reading Comprehension: Unseen passage with MCQs
  • Spotting Errors: Grammar mistakes in sentences
